Notable
Spring is 10 years old now, and this will be her last international competition before retiring, Daniels said. Spring has been at every GOG and has medaled the last four years in a row. After GOG she will continue to compete in agility, but in the "performance" level class rather than "international" class.
Quotable
When describing a course that Julie would prefer, Julie says, "We can do a tight course. Spring has the moves, but she is a very big dog with a very tall center of gravity if you can imagine the physics of that. A smaller dog can turn on a dime and a larger dog has a larger turning radius. The advantage for us would be a loose open course where she can use her full stride. You can see if the course is tight, she will run a bit stilted up because she has to stay collected. Her long stride is a disadvantage on a tight course, but she knows what to do with it. She can get it done no matter what."
