    Notable
    Cassidy graduated with a degree in economics from University of Wisconsin-Madison in Decemberof 2003. He hopes to be working as a financial analyst in the fall in Chicago or Minneapolis.Cassidy competes against his father in the first round of the Boom Run event and feels he should be able to easily beat him because he's faster than his dad. He is a two sport athlete, competing in Boom Run and Speed Climbing.

    "They are probably all saying that because in the past two years I have come out of nowhere and I have gotten better every year. Last year at the Lumberjack World Championships I really surprised a lot of people with my perfomance, specifically in the speed climb. I have really fast ups and I'm a lot younger than most of the other guys. With the combination of me making leaps and bounds in competition and my youth I think they all have taken a notice to that." - On the overwhelming response of other competitors.
