Jeff is a driver for UPS and was hit head-on in 2000 while driving at work. His shoulder was badly injured and it took him a full year after the accident to be able to draw the bow back all the way. He had to shoot a crossbow during that time. He says now that he can shoot a few arrows without it hurting him, but he can't shoot too many or it starts to get sore. It impacts how long he trains and keeps him from competing too frequently. He went through a lot of physical therapy right after the accident.
