Cindy trains with her husband, Jerry (also competing in GOG in archery), at their archery shop, as they have a shooting range. She says that she had not trained on moving targets. She said that to simulate the moving targets at GOG, they have a funny moving target and a 16-year-old kid runs the tractor and pulls it behind him. Cindy and her husband also play in a band. She says that she's used to the cameras and crowds because when they play in the band in parades, they have cameras that come up onto the float.

"I had to hang up the bow 4 years ago when I had my first child, and now with 3 children, it's hard to find the time. When we went to the qualifier, we had the kids with us, so it was hard to juggle them between the two of us. He'd watch the kids while I shot, and then I'd watch them while he shot. I don't know if they will be coming to Madison with us, unless I can get my mom or my twin sister to come too, so I can have some help!"
