This is the second year in a row that Donald has won the Oakridge Elminator to qualify for GOG. He won in 2003 and just won and qualified in TN for 2004. He only competes in about 4-5 major tournaments each year. Donald is also a builder. He's in the process of building his own home and hopes to move in by October or November of 2004. He's so busy building other people's homes, that he only works on his when he can find the time.

Altough he says that the cameras and crowds make the event more fun, Donald says, "Anybody can hit an 8x10 pad, but it's the 2000 people, fog, smoke, cameras that'll get you!." He says, "I love to compete. Archery is my way to relax and get away from the stress of work. It's just me and the targets."
