Notable
Kathy played basketball at a very high level for Canada. Although she was competitive just before the WNBA came of age, she went to Brazil for the World Championships in women's basketball. Since the only opportunities at the time were to go to Europe to play semi-pro, she opted for the coaching route. She coached at the university level.
Quotable
"In dog agility, the handling is all about foot work. And if you've already played a sport where you've done foot work drills ad nauseum, that's one aspect that you don't have to totally learn. And then the whole mental side of it as well comes into play." - on her backgournd in basketball.
