Notable
Julie Daniels and Ken Fairchild (2003 Gold Medalist in Large Super Weave) team-teach 7 agility classes at American K9 Country in Manchester, NH. Julie is a behaviorist and usually runs the skill sets while Ken likes to run the full course work with the handling manuevers required to get around the course (Ken is the handler and Julie is the trainer)
Quotable
When describing a course that Julie would prefer, Julie says, "We can do a tight course. Spring has the moves, but she is a very big dog with a very tall center of gravity if you can imagine the physics of that. A smaller dog can turn on a dime and a larger dog has a larger turning radius. The advantage for us would be a loose open course where she can use her full stride. You can see if the course is tight, she will run a bit stilted up because she has to stay collected. Her long stride is a disadvantage."
